In episode #068, Julie Lamb shares her personal story of loss as well as her expertise as a therapist and a mindset coach. Due to a blood clotting disorder, she was told that she would not be able to have children naturally - or if she did get pregnant, she would miscarry. She beat the odds with her first child, but then experienced a miscarriage.
We discuss the guilt and the shame associated with pregnancy loss, as well as the comparisons and judgments we can make about our own experiences versus other people's experiences with miscarriage. Julie also shares some tips about turning toward your partner after a miscarriage, so you can cope together and support one another in ways that meet the other person's needs.
Topics Discussed: clotting disorder, grief after miscarriage, coping strategies after miscarriage, relationships after pregnancy loss, feelings of grief after miscarriage, feelings of shame after miscarriage, supporting a spouse after miscarriage
