Growing up many of my friends got married right out of high school. I remember my mother sharing with me that she was praying I would marry the boy I was dating. He was a nice enough guy but I had aspirations to go to college and become a nurse.
At church the next Sunday the preacher taught about God’s Will versus our Will. Let's just say I prayed for God's Will to be to my liking, not my mom's.
I wasn’t too confident in my prayers being answered because haven’t we all prayed for something we desperately want or need and it doesn’t happen?
