The lie that βeveryoneβs watchingβ speaks to the disease of people pleasing. We donβt just want people to watch, we want them to approve. We want applause and affirmation. We want to win others over with our highlight reel and hope they donβt notice the filters, editing and camera angles it took to produce the false product.
