The Mummy (2017) tells the story of Nick Morton, a tomb-raiding soldier serving in Iraq. Morton accidentally becomes cursed with ancient Egyptian magic, embroiled in a shady organisation's fight against evil, and must do what it takes to prevent the Egyptian Princess Ahmanet (who has been dead for 5,000 years) from running amok.
We ask ourselves: what went wrong with this film? How much Tom Cruise is too much Tom Cruise? And look forward to a lively discussion about the transportation of rare metal in the ancient world.
