Sometimes there is pure brilliance often overlooked or waiting in the wings. Many times, geniuses come out of nowhere, displaying their greatness when it is least expected. Sometimes pure genius also requires sacrifices in order to push their vision forward. Throughout rock music’s history this has happened. And in the case of this album, the genius came from a place where no one had even thought to look, and the sacrifice made turned out to really pay off in the end. It's beach boys “pet sounds."
