On Mother's Day in 2012, my four daughters highjacked my old blog in order to give me a Mother's Day surprise, and it was a surprise. What was surprising to me was what had mattered to them as they grew, the gifts I had been able to give them despite my imperfect parenting. I never had supposed.
I have spent the last almost two decades helping other moms know that perfect isn't what their kids need. They need their mothers, flaws and all. They need moms who stay the course and grow themselves.
Join me as I share these four beautiful expressions of love from my daughters to me, their imperfect mom.
