Concerted effort needed to address climate change on animal production

A growing population and rising incomes are expected to double global demand for animal protein in the coming years. But climate change will likely affect output and derail supply.

According to Mr Herianto without collective actions and a proper program to respond to climate change, millions of people will go hungry, and livelihoods may be lost. Close collaboration with stakeholders at multiple levels will help minimize the negative impact on the livestock sector and ensure sufficient supply.
