For years, pork has gotten a bad rap as an 'unhealthy' meat, but is it really?
In this podcast, Darryl D'Souza, Executive General Manager for Techinical Services at the Sunpork Group in Austraila, says not so. On the contrary, pork has many benefits, but as with all good things, moderation is key.
He discusses these benefits and encourages producers to "tell our story" to counter the misconceptions about pork and encourage greater consumption. He also notes that the current slowdown in consumption is just a glitch caused by the reduced supply due to ASF. Despite the challenges posed by poultry meat and alternative proteins, pork's hold on the Asian market remains firm.
