Goal setting that is focused on where you are at in life Kelsey provides a 4-step strategy to become the person you want to be this year Step 1: “The type of person I want to be” statement Use this concept to focus in on your goal On the parenting side, Kelsey shares, “I want to be the kind of mom that enjoys the chaos of having a three-year-old” Step 2: Define that kind of person by giving examples Kelsey focuses in with specific examples and moments that would enable her to hit her motherhood goal Defining with examples helps you hit specific goals, instead of feeling challenged to hit a generalized goal Step 3: Create a mantra around this new goal This works to create new neural pathways in your brain to help you achieve your goal This often includes a statement like, “I’m doing a great job” Step 4: Notice when your internal dialogue goes to a place you don’t want it, acknowledge this, and then make the shift When it comes to parenting, sometimes the best thing you can do is manage your own emotions This step helps you approach the situation in a more intentional way Kelsey shares her business goals for the year and applies this 4-step strategy to the Coaches Incubator
