Coach Hinson has been on The Athletic Scholarship Podcast as a guest before, Episodes 239 and 240 as he was on the Oklahoma State Cowboys Men's Basketball staff. Recently, Coach Hinson moved to be the Associate Athletic Director and OSU's 1st Director of NIL; Name, Image and Likeness. Barry helps us learn about how NIL has entered the scene in college sports. He tells how as he learned about NIL it pushed him to start helping the over 500 Cowboy student-athletes on campus. Coach Hinson talks about the big money deals you hear about in the media, but he also highlight how any student-athlete, in college and in high school, can work to make money as they play their sport.
