This is the first episode in our fall parenting series. As parents ourselves, we know parents need a lot of support. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed and unsure about what messages and parenting philosophies to trust. In this episode we talk with parenting expert, Dr. Danny Huerta. Dr. Daniel Huerta, PSYD, MSW, LCSW, LSSW, oversees Focus on the Family’s initiatives that equip mothers and fathers with biblical principles and counsel for raising healthy, resilient children. A bilingual, licensed clinical social worker, Dr. Huerta commonly addresses issues related to parenting such as communication, conflict resolution, spiritual growth, discipline, stress, anxiety, depression, media discernment and healthy sexuality. He has maintained a private practice in Colorado Springs since 2003 and served as a board member of the El Paso County Mental Health Association for almost four years.
