Join Denise as she chats with Justin Brown, executive director of The Education Partnership (TEP). The Education Partnership is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing educational inequities by providing and enabling access to the tools and resources necessary to support teachers and enhance a student's ability to learn and succeed. TEP provides school and classroom supplies at no charge to schools where at least 70% of the student body qualifies for the National School Lunch Program.
In celebration of the MLK Day of Service, Denise and Justin discuss ways families can volunteer and help children in need of school supplies. They also talk about how serious the need is for some students to obtain classroom school supplies and exactly what TEP is doing to fulfill that need.
