Months after the “RKO Vines” thing went viral, WWE finally decides to cash in on the “RKO Out of Nowhere” bit. My gut reaction was that it was another “typical WWE” missing the boat moment.. But ultimately, the timing may have been right. Randy Orton played the role quite well, and there’s at least some intrigue going into the steel cage match for the championship this Sunday at Extreme Rules.
Unfortunately, “typical [corporate] WWE” did rear its ugly head this week, with the passing of the Curb Stomp – Seth Rollins’ unique finisher that we have seemingly seen the last of. The reasons for this are up for debate, as none of us knows for sure – but the one sure thing is that the removal is unnecessary. Seth Rollins has definitely lost some of the wind from his sails. Can he recover?
