Bob Falcone, known as "Hiking Bob," is a retired firefighter turned outdoor enthusiast, photographer, and podcaster. After nearly four decades of firefighting and relocating from rural southern New Jersey to Colorado over 30 years ago, Bob found his passion for hiking, camping, and cycling.
He hikes nearly 800 miles per year and shares his experiences through his popular podcast Outdoors with Hiking Bob and a newspaper column for the Colorado Springs Independent. Bob is also an advocate for outdoor recreation and has served on local government boards dedicated to preserving parks and open spaces.
When he's not on the trail, Bob enjoys capturing landscapes through photography and exploring new adventures around the world.
