Dr. Krista Burns- The Art of Posturology
Dr. Krista Burns, co-founder of the American Posture Institute, is dedicated to being the world’s leading professional resource for Posture-related information, technology, products, and correction systems.
She graduated with honors as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Passionate about furthering her education, she completed a Doctorate in Health Administration with an emphasis in Health Policy. To increase her clinical expertise she completed certifications as a Certified Postural Specialist, Certified Posture Exercise Professional, Certified Functional Patterns Practitioner, and a Specialist in Functional Chiropractic Neurology.
She is an inspiring public speaker and has been a featured presenter at forums such as the International Functional Medicine Conference in Italy, the UCA Women in Chiropractic Conference, and the Women’s Leadership Summit in the United States. Dr. Burns is a published author and researcher in the field of health and wellness. As a recognized health expert, she is a regular featured expert on Sport Magazine televised program, CYOU TV live radio program, and as a quarterly contributing author to L’Accademia del Fitness national health magazine, and a weekly expert author to NaturalNews.com.
Currently Dr. Burns owns and practices in 2 separate chiropractic clinics in Italy, one being recognized as the fastest growing clinic in Italy. Additionally she has created and implemented a publicly recognized posture program called “Better Posture for Brighter Futures” which is being implemented in Italian schools. She is the Founder of “Posture By Design” Seminars which helps other chiropractors aspiring to become experts in posture learn the fundamentals of Posturology, and how to implement them into their practices.
She is also the founder and President of the European League of Chiropractic Women, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the chiropractic profession. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she has always had a love for fitness. Before entering chiropractic college Krista was a competitive member of the United States Freestyle Ski Team, and a qualifier for the US National Championships and North American Competition skiing circuit. Her love for sports continues today, as she is currently a nationally recognized fitness competitor in the category of Bikini Bodybuilding. In 2014 she was the Italian Grand Prix Overall Champion, she finished 3rd overall in the IBFA Bodybuilding World Championships, and 4th in the Italian Natural Bodybuilding Championships.
Dr. Burns has a passion for all things “health.” She lives the advice she gives. Her superior personal work ethic is demonstrated by her continuous devotion to academics, her professional accomplishments, her role as a female leader in the chiropractic profession, and her success as a professional athlete.
