Not much to say or add to that game on Monday night. It is what it is. Another primetime loss for Marvin Lewis and the Bengals. Great, we’ll get to hear that narrative at least until Friday. In the grand scheme of things, the outcome doesn’t matter. You had a Bucs team opening up at home for the first time with new QB Winston Jameis. Ok so they probably came out of the locker room a little pumped about playing in front of their fans. What really matters is that in this game on Monday night, the Bengals came away relatively injury free and AJ McCarron made his long overdue debut as an NFL quarterback. Buckle up Bengals fans, this ride’s about to get bumpy. On to the show!
In this week’s show:We welcomed Mickey back to the program after a long hiatus. We also tried our best to calm Bengals fans nerves after that poor performance on Monday Night Football. But it’s the Preseason. This reaction video from a few years ago perfectly sums up how I felt about the Bengals afterwards.
AJ McCarron made his debut as a Bengals quarterback and held his own, mostly against the Bucs 3rd and 4th stringers. Wonder how he would fare against another team’s 1’s and 2’s? We probably won’t know unless something drastic happens to the Red Rifle.
