In this first part of a 2-part interview, we're talking with bar exam and NLP expert, Elena DuCharme about her work with bar takers who struggle with the emotional side of the exam.
Elena has been working with Celebration Bar Students since 2012 and during our conversation she explains her background and why the work she's doing is so important to our students' success.
In the first half of this interview we'll be discussing:
the intersection of the bar exam and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) why people don't get what they want what it means to 'walk the plank' of the bar exam the blocks that keep people from passing why some people freak out and others stay calm in the bar exam the flight/fright/freeze syndrome the fear of failure and the fear of success self sabotage or 'creature neurology' and its impact on test takers the importance of mindsetIn the next episode we'll continue the conversation with a look at the tools available to help students overcome these barriers.
