Years later, she found she had transpired cancer again in the other breast. She decided she wasn’t going to have cancer anymore and told God to kill her or heal her. That is when people started to show up in her life, including various teachers and healers. “It changed my life and I studied for about 25 years, until I was about 60.” In 1989, Ria started practicing energy medicines. She used a practice that integrates the right and left hemispheres of the brain, which take the stress out of the immune system and helps your body function and heal. Every time Ria studied, she was left with new questions and she continued on studying and learned about expressive arts. While she was studying this, she had ovarian cancer but didn’t know at the time. At this point, she went to a Russian healer who told her not to worry, that the disease would be taken care of. Ria discovered the cause of cancer through expressive art and dance. “Having breast cancer in both breasts, I stopped doing what nurtured me; that is what I found in the movement.”“I found that artwork, the movement, the drawing and the writing helps you get in touch with the reason for something.” Ria wanted more, including the freedom, so she was introduced to constellation work.“I just think the three together: the energy, the arts and the constellation work, get at your issues from every angle and every different intelligence.” “I think in the whole healing realm when I said to God to heal me or kill me, that God made me a healer because it wasn’t on my radar.” Ria says we need to change our way of thinking and that we need to stop thinking with our mind and instead, reach within ourselves. “So the idea is to bring the light back in and when you do that you will think differently.
