Being in the "wellness world" I often see how easily we can twist self-care into a mask for our perfectionism and our fears that we are not enough. Whenever I begin to hear women get rule-oriented around self-care practices -- or start to talk about what they "should" be doing or what they are "failing at" when it comes to self-care -- I get a red flag that pops up.
And this podcast explains why -- it shares how I keep self care in check in my own life. Truth is, you have to walk through each of these doorways in the right order, if self care is truly going to be healing and life-giving.
