NBC has three really funny sitcoms on Thursday nights during its three-hour comedy block that I really think you should give a chance – or a second chance: "Outsourced," "Community" and "Perfect Couples."
RIZWAN MANJI audio excerpt: "The reason Rajiv is so opportunistic is that he wants to get married and wants this as proof for the father of his fiancee."Mr. Media has been a big supporter of all three. They’re cleverly written and share a devotion to character development, satire and sexual zingers. "30 Rock," "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" may get all the attention, but "Outsourced," "Community" and "Perfect Couples" offer more than their fair share of big, old-fashioned sitcom belly laughs. Today, I’m excited to welcome to the show, Rizwan Manji, one of the upcoming stars of Outsourced, which airs Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. on NBC. He plays Rajiv, the don’t-screw-with-me “manager” – in name only – of the India-based call center of an American novelties manufacturer.
