10- 15 percent of the population suffers from migraine, but a new study published in the journal Neurology suggests that migraines may actually change the structure of the brain by increasing the risk of brain lesions, white matter abnormalities and the amount of brain volume. People that suffer migraines with aura have an even higher risk of brain changes.
