When confronted with a serious issue, do you breakthrough or breakdown?
Wouldn't it be great to have the mindset that breaks through every obstacle? The mindset that has the strength to stand up to any situation and find a way through.
We all have areas in our life where our ability to breakthrough is strong and we all have those couple of areas where we tend to breakdown and shy away, or flat-out run away from the challenge.
Why do we have these breakdown areas?
It all comes back to our beliefs. Our beliefs about who we are and how we operate in the world. We all have many positive beliefs and we all have many limiting beliefs. It is the limiting beliefs that cause the breakdowns. When we are confronted with a situation that presses on these limiting beliefs, we act according to what our beliefs say about our ability to respond is.
When we have a limiting belief about our ability to respond to the situation, we get vulnerable and scared and usually look for ways out of the situation. Often we turn and run the other way back to our comfort zone where we feel safe. Which results in the breakdown mindset. Causing us to fail in moving forward in that area of our lives.
So how do we strengthen these weak points?
What follows is an overview of the Breakthrough Mindset System from Higher Ground Living.blog. This is a system designed to take us through what is called the Three Truths, which build our breakthrough mindset.
The Three Truths are:
Be Conscious: Through conscious thought and daily analysis of our beliefs and actions. We become aware of what we believe about ourselves and the world. Because our beliefs are mostly sub conscious we are not very aware of what we really believe in certain areas of our life. What we find is that in areas of our life where we have good success and satisfaction, there are strong healthy beliefs about our ability to achieve this status. However, in areas of our life where we breakdown and struggle we have limiting beliefs that cause us to make poor decisions and not commit to the challenge.
Becoming consciously aware of these beliefs is step one in building a new strong breakthrough mindset.
Remove Resistance: These limiting beliefs are providing resistance to our desires. Where we have a limiting belief about our ability to achieve, or our worthiness to achieve a goal, we always create personal resistance to winning. We sabotage our success in this area because we make poor choices that ultimately lead us to failure.
If we can remove this resistance then we will have a much better chance of creating the success we desire. Resistance is found in those areas of your life where we try again and again to breakthrough to a new level but "something" holds us back. That "something" is our resistance created by our limiting beliefs. When we become consciously aware of our beliefs in this area and make the decision to remove the resistance that belief creates, we can move forward with fewer obstacles to find the success we desire.
Allow Success: With a clearer pathway due to being aware of and removing our resistance to our success, we can now allow ourselves to create the success we desire. By consciously building the mindset necessary to achieve our goal. When we are free from resistance we can choose how we want to operate, rather than being operated by our limiting beliefs.
From here we build the new beliefs necessary to create the life we desire.
This is never a one time deal. As life continues we all need to grow our beliefs about who we are and what we can achieve as life expands and grows.
I like this hurdling analogy. Just because someones gets good at jumping the hurdles in athletics, it doesn't mean the hurdles get taken away. The hurdles are always there, the hurdler gets more skilled at gliding over the hurdles.
We must become the same. Rather than praying for all the hurdles to be taken away. Lets pray for the ability to become more skill full at jumping the hurdles. Reality is, that's life. If we wait for all the hurdles to disappear we will be waiting in vain. The hurdles of life are not going anywhere. The good news is, we can get better at jumping them.
By building a "breakthrough mindset" where we have had a "breakdown mindset".
