In this epsiode, I speak with physician wellness and career coach Dr. Maiysha Clairborne. With an undergraduate degree in psychology, it's no wonder she has an interest in coaching and wellness. After completing her family medicine residency, and practicing for several years, Maiysha began wellness coaching for her patients.
She subsequently came to realize that physician colleagues were struggling with burnout and that many needed coaching and mentorship themselves.
So, she shifted gears, and refocused her coaching efforts on helping physicians. She formally began her physician coaching business about 2 years ago and has been very busy providing individual and group coaching and wellness retreats.
She is also an accomplished speaker and writer.
