Have you ever found yourself saying, “Hey, I’m not perfect. I’m only human?”
OR…
You’ve sacrificed progress for the illusion of perfection?
First of all, what’s perfect got to do with it, anyway?
Secondly, why are you using "perfect" as your desired destination, which becomes an excuse?
What does “perfect” mean to you?
Seriously, how do you define "perfect?"
In the traditional way that most people think of it, perfection is really an illusion.
Not only is it an illusion, but it’s become a prison for a lot of people.
So how do you get out?
Start by redefining PERFECT.
To me, the true definition of perfect is: TRUTH.
Good, bad, ugly…if it’s the TRUTH, it’s PERFECT.
Why?
Because when you know the truth, it’ll set you free.
The so-called illusion of perfection takes many prisoners.
Don’t be fooled. Don’t be one of them.
Not sure if you’re using “perfect” as an excuse?
If you’re in either of these two camps, then you’re definitely using it as an excuse. (As most of us humans do at times.)
A: Oftentimes you say things like, “I’m human. I’m not perfect.”
You’re using it as a reason to NOT grow or learn. You’re using it to give yourself an “excuse” to stay the same.
Quite simply, it's a cop out.
B: You don’t do certain things because you fear that you won’t do it perfectly.
You hold back. You hide. You sacrifice progress because of your idea of perfection. When you do this, you stay stuck where you are.
Is it possible that you’re striving for something that you haven’t even clearly identified?
Do you even know what “perfect” is?
Again, I’d ask you to take a look at how you define “PERFECT.”
It’s time to bust out of the DECEPTION + PRISON OF PERFECTION, and trade it for the FREEDOM OF TRUTH.
Stop blaming everything on perfect. Either NOT being perfect or trying to be perfect.
It’s time to start the process of progress and prosperity.
Let go of the IDEA of PERFECTION.
Stop using perfect as an excuse.
