Technology is disrupting the workforce experience the same way it has disrupted the customer experience. Humans by nature are reluctant to change, and so are companies – simply because organizations are led by humans (even though sometimes the “human” aspect is taken out of the workplace). While ultimately the goal of digital transformation is to create an agile organization with finely honed processes that responds promptly to customer wishes and preferences, the road to transformation is much bumpier without buy-in from the employees who are tasked with carrying out the strategy. Success may well depend on how you address the needs of your workforce in your overall plan. “Employees want great digital experiences that make work, work better for them”, says Pat Wadors, Chief Talent Officer at ServiceNow, a leader in the HR technology disruption. I’m really excited to talk with Pat on how ServiceNow embraces internally the transformation of the HR function and the workforce experience in which they are a major player. Pat joined ServiceNow in September 2017 when the company had about 5000 employees. ServiceNow is growing at a massive pace, on the path to double its size by the end of 2019.
