MM: Why You Need To Be A Little More Selfish
What do we hear more from others…
That we need to be more or less selfish?
The typical answer is that we shouldn’t act selfish, but I disagree.
This word gets a bad rep, but it really shouldn’t.
I think in order for moms and women to change their body and health, advance in their career, and create the life they want, they HAVE to be more selfish.
I think the word alone is one of the many reasons so many moms put their family first and their health dead last.
The thought of friends, family, and other moms labeling you as “selfish” is a scary thought. But if you’re taking the time to exercise, eat better, and get in shape while cutting back some of your daily responsibilities, that’s not being selfish, that’s being a good mom.
I dive deep into this more on today’s Mindset Monday episode. I want more women and moms to understand it’s okay to be more selfish and not feel guilty about it.
