New research from University of Gävle, University of Central Lancashire, and Lancaster University found that this may not be as true as we thought. Scientists compared the productivity of people who worked in quiet conditions to those who worked with music playing. They found that music can significantly impair a person’s ability to solve tasks and work creatively. So, if you need to have a productive day at work, you may want to rethink the headphones.
