In today’s episode I sat down with a friend and brother Ilbert Sanchez. Born and raised in Honduras until the age of six, Ilbert J Sanchez moved to New York City not knowing how vastly his life would change. He quickly learned to navigate his way through new customs and setting his eyes on the American Dream. Ilbert overcame cultural differences and challenges as he excelled in art and design. After receiving his Bachelor’s of Arts in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Ilbert realized that in order to achieve his dreams, it would take great risks.
His personal mission of helping young men learn and grow is evident in his various speaking engagements and initiatives with schools all over New York City, New Jersy, and Philadelphia.
During this episode, we discuss Ilbert’s evolution as a man. From why he struggled to be vulnerable, to how his relationship with his mother impacted his availability to other women and the prep work he did while being single for two years. We even got into the culture shock of moving the United States to pursue the American dream, and how getting fired helped him find his purpose.
