We are thrilled to bring you today’s guest, Meg Cadoux Hirshberg, breast cancer survivor and the co-founder of the Anticancer Lifestyle Program, an online lifestyle transformation course for cancer survivors and those interested in disease prevention. For most of her career, Meg was a freelance writer for magazines, and for six years wrote a column for Inc. magazine about the intersection of family and business. Her award-winning book, For Better or For Work: A Survival Guide for Entrepreneurs and Their Families, was cited by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the year’s best business books of 2012.
After three cancer diagnoses and two recoveries within 19 years, Megan Cadoux Hirshberg is all too familiar with hearing people equate cancer with war. As founder of the Anticancer Lifestyle Program, Meg teaches others to stop thinking of chronic illness as a winning or losing battle, but rather another component in the body’s complex ecosystem.
The Anticancer Lifestyle Program is a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum that promotes transformation to improve the body’s natural defenses against disease. Through the online course, Meg and experts from top medical facilities touch on simple changes that promote a healthier lifestyle, including reframing how we speak about chronic illness.
We had such an inspirational conversation with Meg and we were in awe of her ability to take her cancer diagnosis and turn it into such an amazing platform to help so many others. If you know anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis, send them over to The Anticancer Lifestyle Program. We also loved hearing about the way Meg teaches others to reframe chronic illness as a component of the body's complex eco-system and think about more peaceful ways to talk about cancer. You will not want to miss this motivating conversation!
